Good morning everybody. My name’s Sabrina
Del Bianco.
My friends and I are 3 students of the 5th and final year at ITC
“Cecilia Deganutti”, which is a technical commercial school based in
Udine.
During the last school-year we and our classmates followed a project
called “Simulimpresa” organised by our local Chamber of Commerce
with the support of our school teachers. We were the first to
experiment this new activity in our school.
As the name “Simulimpresa” suggests, the aim of this activity was
the creation of a virtual enterprise.
The project provided us with some theoretical sessions at the
Chamber of Commerce and in the end, during the summer, a 2-week
working stage in some companies.
For 6 months our school timetable changed, as we attended 1 morning
lesson plus 1 afternoon lesson not at school but at the Chamber of
Commerce. Our teachers tried, whenever possible, to adapt their
school plans to this project’s needs and to share some issues (especially
in business and legal subjects) with their colleagues at the Chamber
of Commerce.
During these months we were trained by 3 tutors.
In the first period a psychologist helped us to divide into 3 groups
and to organise the time we needed to work and develop our virtual
enterprise. This person was very useful to us to create 3 balanced
groups, in which each component could find his/her role.
After the group formation we were trained by 2 professionals of the
trade sector (a business consultant and an expert in commercial law)
who helped us to prepare our business plan, which was the final
result of the project.
To conclude the activity we had a working experience in some
companies operating in the same sector as the virtual enterprise we
had created.
My mates will explain to you the different types of virtual
enterprises and the working stage experiences.

Good morning, my name’s Jenny De Narda and I
will talk about the three virtual enterprises we created.
For each group there was a coordinator who had to give a role to
each group member considering his/her skills and abilities and the
roles in each group had to be those of a firm, that is Managing
Director, Marketing Manager, Finance Director and so on.
After assigning roles, each group had to decide what kind of firm
they wanted to create and then which type of company, legally
speaking, it was better to establish.
All the groups decided to create three limited companies, as this
form of business was more suitable to our needs.
The first group, which was composed by seven members, developed the
plan of a pub called “Aliby Pub”. This pub, located in the town
centre, was aimed at people of every age and proposed different
kinds of music every week with bands, DJs… The pub didn’t sell only
drinks but also snacks, sandwiches, pizzas and had a lot of
different offers that could satisfy the customers.
The second firm, “Life Events”, was a company specialised in the
organisation of parties, ceremonies, concerts, meetings and any
other event which should be celebrated adequately. They were
involved in preparing and taking care of everything, from transport
to music, from food to entertainments, the bureaucratic part
included.
The last group formed a partnership which was engaged in the
production and marketing of jewellery and similar. This company had
very innovative ideas, the most important was to grant customers
that the real diamonds used came from legal markets and not from the
black market; the other interesting innovation was that the
customers could personalise his/her piece of jewellery with their
favourite gem or even drawing or planning his/her own jewel.
After deciding the kind of business they wanted to establish, each
group had to start with the drawing up of the constitutive deed and
the Statute. Each member of the group had to write his/her
curriculum vitae which was then enclosed in the final report,
together with a short presentation of partnerships, a visiting card,
the firm’s logo, the headed notepaper and finally, the hardest part,
that is the business plan.
To draw up the business plan, each group was subdivided into smaller
parts, formed by 1 or 2 elements, and every single subgroup was in
charge of a specific task such as searching and analysing the
market, advertising, talking about the business mission and
objectives and the drawing up of the balance sheet.
At the and of the project, two coordinators for each group
successfully presented their reports to their school teachers, some
parents and some experts of the Chamber of Commerce.

Good morning, my name’s Andrea Sanna and I’ll
tell you about the final phase of this experience: the Working
Stage.
At the end of the 4th school year the students of the class 4 Igea
of I.T.C. C. Deganutti had a work experience from the 11th to the
23rd of June 2007. Each student was assigned to an enterprise or
association and had to work for it to try a job experience but also
to improve him/her own skills. The enterprises involved in that
project were different and some of the most important ones were the
following:
ASSOCIAZIONE DELLE COOPERATIVE FRIULANE
This is an association of all the cooperatives based in F.V.G.. It
is in charge of managing all the financial/economical/legal
operations that cooperatives have to deal with and it also takes
care of their advertising and arranges meetings and events for them.
CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
The chamber of commerce has a lot of tasks to carry out. Generally
we can say that this institution is responsible for coordinating all
processes that are involved in national and international trade
markets like agriculture, commerce, enterprises, trade regulations…
It has a lot of different offices and each of them is specialized in
dealing with a specific topic like “patents and protests”, “new
enterprises”, etc…
SNAIDERO
Snaidero is a worldwide famous enterprise that produces kitchen
furniture. It has lots of different lines of products and they are
all very high-quality. This enterprise is hugely developed and it is
involved in a global trade market.
DANIELI AUTOMATION
Danieli Automation is an enterprise that coordinates all the
programs processes that make Danieli’s machinery work. Danieli is a
very important business in the engineering industry and it has
relations all over the world concerning metal production and
supplies.
During this experience each student was followed by a business tutor
who taught him what to do; we had also to keep a diary and write
everything we did during the stage. We also kept in touch with our
school teachers who visited us to know how our work was going on. In
the end the teachers and the tutors collected our opinions. The
class has generally been pleased to make this experience; some
students could benefit from this more than others, however, the
class generally enjoyed the experience.
Fine…! Are there any questions about this?
Ok, I’ve finished my talk and if there aren’t any questions I would
like to thank the Chamber of Commerce that organized this project
and helped us do it in the best way, our business and school tutors
that supported us during the experience and our economics teacher,
Ms Cotterli, that offered us her help whenever we needed, and in the
end, thank you very much for giving us the opportunity to take part
in this experience.
